A Dream That Started in the 7th Grade and Is Now Reaching Around the World
In June, I began a new journey creating and publishing books on Amazon, including journals, coloring books, recipe journals, and so much more. What started as a creative idea has grown into something I could never have imagined!
In just four short months, I have published 150 books and titles! To see something I created through my own ideas, time, creativity, and passion reach this milestone is truly amazing.
But what makes this journey even more special is that the dream of creating and illustrating books actually began with a project from my English teacher in the 7th grade. Who would have thought that something I started as a school assignment would one day grow into a publishing journey of my own?
I also have to give credit to another special teacher who played a part in my creative journey, Mr. Kitchen at TJC. He taught me how to draw on the computer. Let me tell you, it was very challenging in the beginning! There were times when learning something new felt overwhelming, but I am so glad I didn't give up. Looking back now, I realize that those lessons were helping prepare me for the journey I am on today.
To my 7th-grade English teacher and Mr. Kitchen, thank you for being part of my story. You may never have known just how far your influence would reach, but the seeds you planted helped shape a dream that is now becoming a reality. Wherever my 7th-grade English teacher is today, I pray that she is blessed. And Mr. Kitchen, I pray that you continue to be blessed as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping me develop skills that I am still using today.
And now, here I am, years later, watching something I created make its way around the world. Within the past month, some of my books have reached people in Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, as well as across the United States.
Just think about that for a moment. Something I created has reached someone in a completely different country! That is such an incredible, humbling, and beautiful feeling.
I am beyond grateful for every purchase, every share, every word of encouragement, and everyone who has supported me along the way. To my family and friends, thank you for cheering me on, sharing my posts, and helping spread the word about Stephanie Diane Publishing.
This journey reminds me that sometimes the smallest beginnings can lead to the most amazing destinations. A school project in the 7th grade, lessons in computer illustration at TJC, and the determination to keep learning have all become part of a dream that is now reaching around the world.
I am so thankful I didn't quit. Sometimes, what feels difficult in the beginning becomes the very thing that helps us grow into who we are meant to be.
This is more than publishing books. It is a dream that began years ago, was nurtured by teachers who shared their knowledge, and has come full circle in a way I never could have imagined.
I give thanks to God for the ability to create, the strength to keep going, and the opportunity to share my work with the world. I am excited to see where this journey takes me next!
